My Art Future 2017

S5 and S6 visual arts students participated in an art sharing session, namely “My Art Future 2017”, held by Asia Art Archive for students, undergraduates and graduates from local universities and tertiary institutes, including Hong Kong Baptist University (Visual Arts), Hong Kong Design Institute (Visual Communication Design), Lingnan University (Visual Studies), The Chinese University of Hong Kong (Cultural Management, Fine Arts), The City University of Hong Kong (Creative Media), The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (Film), The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (Visual Communications Design, Advertising Design) and The University of Hong Kong (Fine Arts, Global Creative Industries).  Participants not only shared their personal experiences in art-related cou

Assembly on School Development Plan 2017-2020

"Revisiting the Past, Connecting to the Future" is the theme for the School Development Plan of 2017-2020.  The plan was introduced by the Principal, Mr Kwan, to all students and staff in the afternoon assembly of 8 September.  With God's blessing, the redevelopment project is progressing smoothly.

Inauguration of Prefects 2017

The investiture of the 72 students elected as prefects for the school year 2017-2018 took place in the morning assembly on 6 September 2017.  In their inauguration speech, the two Head Prefects pledged on behalf of the Prefect Board to serve the school with humility.  The prefects are responsible for maintaining discipline among the students to ensure there is an atmosphere conducive for learning.  The Good Class Scheme was introduced and classes are reminded to be punctual for lessons, maintain good discipline and read more extensively.

Opening Service 2017

With the beginning of the school year 2017-2018, the Opening Service was held at the School Hall by the Principal and the Vice-principals.  Principal, Mr Kwan, shared with teachers and students lessons learnt from his summer visit to South Korea and events from global and local current affairs.  He also shared his involvement in our school history project, "Treasure Hunt", which enabled him to unearth the significance of some souvenirs and relics of Ying Wa's heritage.  They brought home the theme of our new 3-year School Development Plan, "Revisiting the Past, Connecting to the Future".  On a final note, students were urged to develop self-confidence through more active interactions with teachers in class as well as with speakers

《暗中作樂》聲演會2017

本校部份高級合唱團團員於8月27日 參與第七屆《暗中作樂》聲演會演出。活動由「黑暗中對話 (香港) 基金會」、「對話體驗」及「人山人海」合辦,旨在為視障人士籌款 ─ 門票收益扣除開支後,全數用於推動「黑暗中對話 (香港) 基金會」的項目,資助有才華的視障人士參加專業進修及發展個人事業,從而做到自力更生。聲演會宣揚社會共融的訊息,且為表演者、觀眾及視障人士帶來獨一無二的奇幻體驗。合唱團團員參與演出,既能擴闊眼界,亦可以為視障人士出一分力,別具意義。

La Salle – Pui Ching Programming Challenge 2017

Programming Team members, Poon Wing Sze (6C), Chan Wai Chi (5C) and Wong Yuen Lam (5A), won the silver medal in the second La Salle – Pui Ching Programming Challenge held on 15 August.  They had to complete as many challenging questions as possible within four hours and we were placed fifth among all participating schools.

「少年太空人體驗營」2017

中二戊班(2016-2017年度)林曉榆同學於暑假期間參加「少年太空人體驗營」。活動由香港太空館統籌,並由康樂及文化事務署、香港中華總商會、中國航天員科研訓練中心及酒泉衛星發射中心合辦。體驗活動合共八天,行程豐富,30名香港中學生參觀北京航天員訓練中心、酒泉衛星發射中心、國家天文台密雲觀察站和興隆觀察站,參加航天軍事專家孫錦雲教授主講的載人航天科技講座,製作模型火箭,接受一系列的航天員訓練,包括血液重新分佈訓練和太空廚房訓練等。主辦單位亦安排參加者與楊利偉、劉洋、王亞平及陳冬等航天員交流,令同學得到寶貴的學習機會。
