40th Athletics Meet (Heats and Final)

We were blessed with great weather this year for both sports days. The heats were held on a bright sunny day after weeks of drizzle, and the final took place on a cool and refreshing day. As usual, the highlights were the fun-filled Graduation Cup, the Open Relay which attracted nimble-footed parents, staff and students as well as the breath-taking performance by the five cheering teams in the finale.

Records were broken for participation rate and in the athletes' times for selected events. To the delight of their members, Hutchinson House emerged as Overall House Champion. In the closing ceremony, medals, trophies and challenge shields were presented by our Guest-of-honour, Mr Timmy Law Leong Tim from the Elite Triathletes of Hong Kong Sports Institute. He also urged our students to face adversity with resilience because the human spirit can triumph over disappointments in life.
