Assembly on School Development Plan 2017-2020

“Revisiting the Past, Connecting to the Future” is the theme of the School Development Plan of 2017-2020. Marking the 2nd school year of the plan, our Principal, Mr. Kwan, evaluated the implementation of the plan in the previous school year as well as shared new targets with all students and staff in the afternoon assembly of 7 September.  With God’s blessing, the redevelopment project is progressing smoothly.  Moreover, our young alumna, Ms. Yip Pui Lam, who was recently awarded the Hong Kong Scholarship for Excellence Scheme 2018/19, was invited to be the guest speaker to share her experiences in learning.  Apart from the hard work of building the hardware of the new school campus, it is also important to sustain the good work and values of Ying Wa.  Ying Wa girls are encouraged to aim high and to be self-disciplined.  In order to enhance students’ self-motivation towards learning, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) education has been introduced in S.1 and S.2 as a new opportunity for students to engage in more in-depth scientific research and experiments.  The student support groups will also put efforts into nurturing students’ sense of identity such as creating a clean and environmentally friendly environment under a student-based activity approach.
