Heritage Tour to the Greater Bay Area (Zhongshan and Dongguan, China)

34 junior and senior form students took part in a 2-day heritage tour to Zhongshan and Dongguan, China.  The trip was organised by the Civic Education Committee and the History Department with the theme on “Food Culture in the Greater Bay Area”.  Students attended workshops in cooking traditional dishes in the Greater Bay Area which had great impacts in shaping Hong Kong’s food culture.  The activity explored the continuity and interconnectedness of this intangible heritage across the Southern part of China.  Not only did students have fun cooking traditional dishes, but they also experienced how rural life was like in Zhongshan.
