Speech Day 2016

Secondary Six students were in for a few pleasant surprises on 8 July when they turned up for their graduation ceremony. A thoughtfully designed booklet detailing their lives at school was the special programme on Speech Day. Next was the presence of Mrs Ruth Lee, our former principal who graced the occasion with other illustrious alumnae, honorable members of the Incorporated Management Committee (IMC) and distinguished guests from the EDB, for which parents and graduates were most grateful. In addition to the first Principal’s Report by Mr Francis Kwan, the highlight was the keynote address by incumbent President of Baptist University, Professor Roland Chin Tai-hong, who shared a touchingly personal story of battling back from academic setback to lead a life of promise and service. His sharing echoed the message our school has been instilling in students on the importance of resilience and perseverance, and ‘doing what you love and loving what you do’. On behalf of the graduates, Wong Hin Lam (6E) gave a rousing vote of thanks urging students to journey on with courage and confidence.
