Toastmasters Speech Contests 16-17
The Toastmaster Speech and Table Topics Contests were held at school on 3 December. The contests are held every year to enable students to demonstrate the communication and leadership skills they have acquired in the Toastmasters Youth Leadership Programme. This year, there were 36 contestants from Secondary 2 to 4, 10 student workers and 7 judges, who were from Toastmasters International. The event provided an opportunity and platform for students to shine and share their wonderful speeches with the audience.
The contest was divided into two sessions: Prepared Speech and Table Topics. Due to the large number of participants, the Prepared Speech and Table Topics session were each divided into two rounds. 18 students took part in the Prepared Speech Contest while another 18 students participated in the Table Topics Contest.
