所謂「世事洞明皆學問，人情練達即文章」，我們的明清小說之所以能「極摹人情世態之歧，備寫悲歡離合之致」,說到底就在於善體人情、深察世故。
從當代的創作意識來解析,我們又可以把這四個字拆為:人、情、世、故，從這幾個維度來探究小說藝術的奧妙。
