空氣是生命？河流是生命？山、大峽谷、湖、海等都是生命？生命有甚麼特性？宇宙是物理現象，還是生命現象？本書將嘗試解答以上的一堆問題，關鍵在能量與物質的流動，只要我們跳出固有思想的框框，任何有形的物件如茶杯，都可視為生命，因此我們必須尊重和珍惜萬物，千萬不可破壞或浪費。近二、三百年的科技使人類失去與自然生命的聯繫，視一切為死物，引致人類走上趨向滅絕的歧路，今天，可能是回頭的時候。
