Established on 1 March 2006 by the Ying Wa Girls’ School (YWGS) Alumnae Association, the AA Trust Fund serves as a vital bridge between our storied history and a vibrant future.

Our mission is to ensure that Ying Wa continues to provide an education defined by quality, experience, and global exposure. While we remain in the public sector to uphold the principle of educational equity, the Trust Fund provides the essential resources needed to offer our students a truly holistic, high-quality learning experience that transcends the standard curriculum.

To ensure the standards of stewardship, the Fund is registered as a charitable organization with tax-exempt status under Section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance (Cap. 112).

Our resources are managed with transparency and care, governed by the Deed of Trust and overseen by a dedicated Board of Trustees. This team comprises the Principal, a staff representative, appointed representatives from the Alumnae Association, and alumnae with specialized expertise in financial management and investment.

Our Objectives

The Trust Fund is guided by three primary objectives:

1

Expanding Educational Horizons

Providing diverse opportunities for students to engage in experiential learning that extends well beyond the classroom and school walls.

2

Maintaining the Alumnae Community

Supporting activities or events that foster the growth of the Ying Wa community, ensuring a lifelong connection between the school and the alumni.

3

Preserving Legacy

Honouring the legacy, heritage and traditions of the past while actively developing the physical and intellectual space required for the future growth of the school.

For the past two decades, our community’s collective generosity was rightly focused on the School Redevelopment Project. During this time, the Trust Fund continued its mission without active fundraising, drawing upon its principal to support our students.

In 2026, we are introducing the vision and mission of the AA Trust Fund again, and invite the support of our alumni and friends to join us in rebuilding the resources that sustain our primary missions.

We aim to grow the Trust Fund to a principal of $8 to $10 million over the next decade, ensuring a self-sustaining annual yield of approximately $400,000 through prudent, low-risk strategies. This endowment will serve as a sustainable pillar of support, dedicated to enriching our students’ holistic education, especially in Sports and Aesthetic development, while continuing to foster a lifelong bond with our alumni community and preserving the legacy and heritage of our school.

We humbly invite alumni and friends of Ying Wa to contribute to the AA Trust Fund, helping us secure a self-sustaining foundation that will nurture our students and strengthen our bond for generations to come.
