Sports Day

The annual Sports Day was held on 15th September 2014 in the Wanchai Sports Ground, aiming to help students to be physically and mentally fit. It also helps to nurture students' sense of good sportsmanship. Due to the adverse weather, the Final Day was cancelled.

More than students from Secondary 3 to Secondary 6 have been elected as prefects for the school year 2014-2015. The inauguration ceremony took place during the OLE lesson on 5 September 2014.

A series of celebration activities are being lined up for students and staff, parents and alumnae, as well as supporters and friends of the Ying Wa community to join in and be part of the joyful memories. Reverend LEE Ching Chee and Professor LO Wai Luen were invited to share with our staff during the Staff Development Day on 29 August 2014. The theme was “Be renewed in the spirit of your mind”. Teachers were encouraged to revisit their vision and passion in teaching.

Study Tour in Singapore

The 65th Student Association and the Civic Education Committee organized a 5-day-4-night exchange tour "Singalong" in Singapore from 4 Aug/ to 8 Aug, 2014. Student participants examined the themes of education, technology and ethnicity in Singapore. Exchange programmes such as the visits of CHIJ Secondary School and the Nanyang Technological University provided the opportunities to meet with the locals in order to understand the Singaporean culture more deeply.

Outstanding IT results

WAN Ha Lui (4E) has been selected as the only female Hong Kong Representative to join the National Olympiad in Informatics to be held in summer 2014. Tam Cheuk Ying (5C) has been selected by the Hong Kong Computer Society to be one of the 20 participants to join the Youth IT Training Camp 「滬港台青少年IT夏令營」in Taiwan from 28 July to 1 August 2014.
