Thanksgiving Service
This year’s Thanksgiving Service was held on 23 November, 2012. Rev. CHENG Yee Sum 鄭以心牧師 delivered the sermon, reminding us of the abundant blessings from God. He also challenged us to respond by sharing with those in need.

Sponsored Walk
The Annual Sponsored Walk is much a cherished tradition of Ying Wa since its inception in the 1960’s. Through this activity, funds were raised for the needy locally and abroad. This year, we are fortunate to have the kind permission of St. Stephen’s Girls’ College (SSGC) to use their school for the gathering and dismissal point.
Sports Competition - DASH
The Inter-class Sports Competition "DASH" has successfully completed. Activities included: Rowing Machine Competition, Dodge Ball Competition and Rope Skipping, 6B was the final champion.
Ying Wa Good Show
Girls have had a good opportunity to show their musical talents in our decanting site in Sham Shui Po. They gathered in the playground which is located right in the middle of the whole school, performed music from Hayao Miyazaki's animation movies, oldies, heats from Broadway musicals like Seasons of Love, Edelweiss, Dancing Queen. Both teachers and students have enjoyed such a casual, relaxed and musical lunch hour.

Korea and DongGuan Tours
The Student Association and the Civic Education Committee held a sharing session on two summer programmes, Koreaction (Exchange Tour in South Korea) and DongGuan Service Tour. The Koreaction group presented the topics on Korean history, food and popular culture. The Service Tour group shared the views over the importance of having a serving heart and understanding the motherland with the theme on the “San Nong” issue.
333 Service Programme
Ying Wa has a tradition for the service of others. This year, students volunteered to join the 333 Service Programme organised by “We R Family Foundation” 幼吾幼慈善基金. On every Friday evening, they will go to a primary school in the Sham Shui Po district to help students in their homework assignments.
Talk by Dr. Joseph Ting
Dr. Joseph Ting (丁新豹博士), one of the most distinguished expert of recent Chinese and Hong Kong history and the former Chief Curator of Hong Kong Museum of History, came to talk to our students about the "Heritage Treasures in Sham Shui Po" on 6 Nov 2013. His educational and interesting presentation was eye-opening and insightful. Dr. Ting will lead two guided tours later to our alumnae and students in December 2013 and January 2014.
