Swimming Gala 2025 - Album 2
Students of YW enjoyed an energetic day of aquatic fun as the school gathered at Victoria Park Swimming Pool for our annual Swimming Gala. Our swimmers did their very best to beat their own records and contribute to their respective houses, while their house members cheered them on in the stands.
The event kicked off with an inspiring speech from our Vice-principal, Mr Ng Wing Wo, who shared his own athletic journey and encouraged students to persist on theirs.
Our swimmers amazed us with their skills and energy in a packed schedule of races. To everyone’s delight, several school records were broken, including Ng Hoi Ching (4C) in 50M Breast Stroke (Grade B) and 100M Breast Stroke (OPEN), and Wong Kwok Tao (5E) in 50M Front Crawl (Grade A).
The events on the day closed with an alumnae relay and a speech delivered by Ms Sarah Chan, the Chairperson of the school’s Parent-Teacher Association, who motivated our students to keep working hard to realise their goals.
In the end, Silcocks House secured the title of Overall Champion of the annual swimming gala, which would not have been so successful without the support of our alumnae and parents who came to support our athletes.
