Principal's Welcome

It is with immense joy and gratitude that I return to Ying Wa, a place I hold close to my heart, not only as an alumna but also as a former teacher. This community has always been a source of inspiration and strength for me, and I am honored to serve it once again.
Having spent my school years on the old campus, returning to this magnificent new Ying Wa campus, with the Robinson Road and Breezy Path blocks, fills my heart with gratitude. I am deeply thankful for all those who supported us throughout the redevelopment journey, and for God’s unfailing guidance. With our state-of-the-art facilities and elevated standards of equipment, our committed and experienced teaching staff will continue to deliver quality education that meets the needs of today’s learners.
With a proud history spanning 125 years, we remain steadfast in our mission to provide a holistic and high-quality education to girls from diverse backgrounds. Ying Wa is dedicated to empowering young women by broadening their horizons and equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the rapidly evolving landscape of the 21st century. We aim to prepare our students to rise to the challenges of the future with confidence, resilience, and adaptability.
Our school motto, “Time is precious, treasure every minute” serves as a constant reminder to seize every opportunity for growth and learning while cherishing the relationships and memories formed along the way. At Ying Wa, we strive to foster a community built on love, care, and faith. These values are at the heart of our work, creating an environment where students not only thrive academically but also grow into compassionate and grounded individuals.
The guiding principle of our Ying Wa family, “To serve but not to be served,” has been a cornerstone of our identity. It is a value deeply rooted in our faith and brought to life through the examples of remarkable individuals who have walked this journey before us. This spirit of service unites us and calls us to action, cultivating servant leaders who lead with humility, empathy, and a sincere desire to contribute to the society.
As we continue our education journey under the guidance of our Lord, Ying Wa remains committed to nurturing students to serve humbly and shine brightly. Today, I invite each of you—whether as a student, parent, alumna, teacher, or friend of the Ying Wa community—to join hands in support of our beloved school. Together, with our collective love and dedication, we can ensure that Ying Wa continues to shine even brighter under the light and guidance of our God.
With our enduring values and unwavering dedication, we are confident that Ying Wa will continue to be a source of inspiration and a place for growth for every member of our community.
