Toastmasters Speech Contests 17-18
On 2nd Dec, the Toastmasters Speech and Table Topics Contests were held in Ying Wa. The contests are held every year and allow students who have participated in the Toastmasters Youth Leadership Program to demonstrate their communication and leadership skills. There were thirty-five contestants from secondary two to four, six student workers and five judges, who were from Toastmasters International. The contest provided an opportunity and platform for students to shine and share their wonderful speeches with the audience.
The contests had two sessions: Prepared Speech and Table Topics. Due to the large number of participants, the Prepared Speech and Table Topics sessions were each divided into tworounds. 17 students took part in the Prepared Speech Contest while eighteen students participated in the Table TopicsContest.
