Innovation for Smart City Competition 2023

A remarkable triumph unfolded as a team of four talented S5 Geography students emerged as the overall champion of the prestigious “Innovation for Smart City Competition 2023”, hosted by the Department of Land Surveying and Geo-informatics of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.  Three exceptional S4 students secured the second runner-up position, while another four S4 students were honoured with a merit award for their contributions.

These extraordinary achievements were forged through unwavering dedication and an indomitable spirit of innovation.  Students worked tirelessly, crafting cutting-edge mobile platforms that aimed at elevating the dining and hiking experiences for people in Hong Kong.  During their awe-inspiring presentation, they captivated the esteemed panelists with their creations and ideas, earning well-deserved recognition for their outstanding teamwork and boundless creativity.

As a token of acknowledgment for their exceptional performance, the winning team will embark on a captivating 5-day excursion to Singapore during the summer holidays.  This immersive trip will grant them an invaluable opportunity to explore and learn from the forefront of smart city innovation present within the vibrant city-state.
