JENESYS Programme 2017

Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths Programme (JENESYS) is funded by the Japanese government and co-organised by the Education Bureau (EDB) annually to recruit Hong Kong secondary 5 students to engage in cultural exchange activities with Japanese students in Japan.  Teenagers from Macau and Hong Kong were invited for the 9D8N Programme from 10 to 18 December.  Our S5 head girl, Lo Wing Sum Amy, attended an interview at the EDB and was selected to represent Hong Kong this year.  Participants visited a number of Japanese schools, museums, and enjoyed the hospitality of Japanese families in three cities, Tokyo, Nara and Kyoto, and sampled the local food.  In return they prepared different cultural programmes, such as Jazz dance, singing in Putonghua and Japanese taiko drum performance, to present to their hosts.
