Awards in the Dance World Cup 2022

The Dance World Cup is the leading international dancing event in which thousands of dancers from around the world participate in a variety of competitions.  Our Chinese and Jazz Dance Teams took part in the event and achieved outstanding results. Prizes of the 34th Peace Poster Contest 2021-2022: We Are All Connected

Our students continue to make us proud with their talents. Li Wan Ki (1A) won the First Runner-up in the 34th Peace Poster Contest 2021-2022 while multiple students were awarded Merit Prizes. Themed “We Are All Connected” this year, the contest is organised by the Lions Clubs International District 303, Hong Kong & Macao, China.  For over three decades, Lions Clubs have been sponsoring this very special art contest in schools and youth groups around the globe.  Creating peace posters gives children everywhere the chance to express their visions of peace and inspire the world through art...

2022 Harvard Book Prize

Three S5 students, Chun Ching Yan (5A), Wong Ying (5C) and Law Wai Chung Fiona (5D) received the 2022 Harvard Book Prize.  The honour is awarded to exceptional secondary school students in Hong Kong for their academic excellence, outstanding character and community service. Wong Ying also applied for the Harvard Book Prize Scholarship and was named a semi-finalist.  For her achievement, she will have the opportunity to join the highly-coveted Harvard Mentorship Program to meet and learn from different Harvard alumni in Hong Kong.

Champion of JUMPSTARTER 2022

Four Secondary 5 BAFS (Business, Accounting and Financial Studies) students won the Champion of JUMPSTARTER IdeaPOP!, a unique startup competition for Hong Kong students organized by Alibaba Entrepreneurs Fund. The competition provides an opportunity for all secondary school and tertiary students in Hong Kong to build their entrepreneurial skills, put ideas into practice, and gain real-life pitching experience. Champion of the HKFYG English Speaking Contest 2022 (Junior Division)

Leung Tsoi Lam Phoebe (3E) won the championship of the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups (HKFYG) English Speaking Contest 2022 (Junior Division) in the Grand Finals.  This year, the event was widely supported by more than 1,000 contestants from over 113 schools.  The competition aims at encouraging young people and providing them with the tools to shine on stage and thrive in their own aspects.  Phoebe is invited to represent Hong Kong to participate in the National English Speaking Competition organised by the China Daily.  Well-done, Phoebe! Hong Kong Physics Olympiad 2021

Hong Kong Physics Olympiad was co-organized in September 2021 by the Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education, the Education Bureau and the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology.  Hung Hiu Tung (5C) and Law Wai Chung Fiona (5D) were awarded the Second Honour and the Honourable Mention respectively.  The prizes recognized their conscientiousness and diligent hard work in studying higher level Physics.

Awards of the Gifted Education Programme:  Maritime History and Curating

Two S4 history students, Lau Hok Yau Agnes (4D) and Cheng Sze Wai (4E) participated in a gifted education programme called “The Maritime History and Curating Programme (資優教育計劃:海事歷史與策展)” which was organized jointly by the Education Bureau (EDB) and the Hong Kong Maritime Museum from July to December 2021.  Not only did they attend lectures on underwater archaeology, maritime trade and history in Asia and the world, but their skills in research, curating and academic writing were also polished.  On December 30 and 31, 2021, they took part in the Student Work Exhibition and Curating Competition...

Hong Kong Island Outstanding Student Awards 2021

Lau Sum (6A) and Leung Choi Lam Phoebe (3E) were awarded the Hong Kong Island Outstanding Student Awards in the senior and junior sections respectively.  Lau Sum was among the top ten outstanding students in the senior section.  Presented by the Hong Kong Island School Heads Association, the awards aim to recognize secondary school student leaders who have demonstrated excellent leadership skills and have served the school and society enthusiastically.
