High Achievers’ Award Ceremony 2024-25
The High Achievers’ Award Ceremony took place on February 12, 2025, during the morning assembly. Students from S1 to S5 who achieved outstanding academic results during the first term were recognized for their exceptional accomplishments. Their exemplary performance serves as an inspiration for all students to strive for excellence in their studies. Awards were presented to junior form students who ranked among the top three in each class and form. For the senior forms, awards were given to those who ranked first in each subject. Our Principal, Mr Francis Kwan, extended his heartfelt congratulations to the high achievers in his address. Hong Kong Inter-School Choral Festival (HKICF) 2025
Our Senior Choir proudly won the Gold Award in the Hong Kong Inter-School Choral Festival (HKICF) competition, held in Tsuen Wan Town Hall on 11 February. Guided by Mr Matthew Leung’s conducting, the choir successfully interpreted and performed the challenging Hungarian song, A virágok vetélkedése (the contest of flowers) composed by Beischer-Matyó, Tamás.

EmpowerHer Future Program
On February 6, 25 Secondary Four and Five students of Economics and BAFS participated in the AIA Carnival event as part of the EmpowerHer Future Program. This event was organized by Inspiring Girls Hong Kong in partnership with HSBC, UBS, Natixis, and AIA Carnival. It provided students with the opportunity to explore potential career paths and understand the significance of financial literacy. During the event, students engaged in speed networking sessions with female professionals in the business sector and learned about managing personal finances through a life-sized Monopoly-style board game.

CUHK Vex Robotics Competition
A team of S1-3 students, among 86 teams from 43 schools, successfully entered the final round of the CUHK Vex Robotics Competition.
We sent a total of 3 teams consisting of 10 junior students to the competition, which required participants to design and assemble a robot, as well as program it to complete specific missions. The competition allowed students to showcase their problem-solving skills, creativity, and teamwork.
In the past three months, our teams exerted significant effort to prepare for the event. They were committed to joining regular robotics classes and training workshops at CUHK, gaining invaluable insights from the experience.

Hong Kong Secondary Schools Software Development Invitational Contest 2024
Three students from the Ying Wa Computer Programming Team were awarded medals at the Hong Kong Secondary Schools Software Development Invitational Contest (SDIC) 2024.
In the Junior Group, Cheung Suet Nam (4C) won a Gold Medal and Leung Hilary (3D) was awarded a Silver Medal. In the Senior Group, Law Yi Sheung (5E) was awarded a Bronze Medal.

Hong Kong Olympiad in Informatics 2024/25
We were impressed by the outstanding performances of our girls at the Hong Kong Olympiad in Informatics 2024/25.
In the Junior Group, Leung Hilary (3D) won a Silver Medal for Ying Wa with her excellent performance while Cheung Suet Nam (4C) was awarded a Bronze Medal. Chau Tsz Ying (4D) received an Honourable Mention. In the Senior Group, Man Cho Yan (5C) and Law Yi Sheung (5E) were also awarded Honourable Mentions.
They are invited to join the Hong Kong Olympiad in Informatics Training Team for intensive training. A Team Formation Test is to be held in May to select delegates for up-coming contests held outside Hong Kong.

Hong Kong Girls' Olympiad in Informatics 2024/25
In the Hong Kong Girls’ Olympiad in Informatics 2024/25, Ying Wa emerged as the top-performing school and was awarded the Grand School Prize Champion with 2 Gold Medals and 2 Silver Medals.
Chau Tsz Ying (4D) and Leung Hilary (3D) won Gold Medal for Ying Wa with their excellent performances, while Man Cho Yan (5C) and Law Yi Sheung (5E) were awarded Silver Medal.
Chau Tsz Ying (4D) was also honoured as the Best Young Contestant.
All prize-winners were invited to join the Hong Kong Olympiad in Informatics Training Team for more intensive training. A Team Formation Test would be held in May to select delegates for upcoming contests held overseas.

Newly Renovated Inno Lab
We are excited to announce the reopening of the newly renovated Inno Lab at our Breezy Path Campus! This state-of-the-art facility provides enthusiastic and capable students in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) with an innovative space to explore and create.
With cutting-edge equipment like robotics kits and flight simulators, students will engage in hands-on learning through various training programs and workshops that connect them with industry professionals. Additionally, the Inno Lab will foster interdisciplinary collaboration, allowing students to work together on projects while developing valuable networks within the STEAM community.
