On Friday, November 15, 2025, 39 students from S5 and S6 Geography and Tourism and Hospitality Studies embarked on an insightful excursion to the North-eastern New Territories Sedimentary Rock Region of the Hong Kong UNESCO Global Geopark.   This excursion provided a crucial opportunity for students to link theoretical knowledge with real-world geological landscapes.

The excursion began with a ferry trip along the Tolo Channel, where students observed unique formations like the ‘Devil’s Fist’ in Bluff Head and the reddish rock in Port Island.

The key learning experience was at Lai Chi Chong, where students had hands-on practice exploring different rock types and various landform features.

Sharing by Ms Chuk on the Rise of a Queen

Our Principal, Ms Chuk, shared the Persian story of the Rise of a Queen, which was introduced to her by her parents during her childhood.  The three main characters are Esther (the orphaned Jewish lady), Mordecai (Esther’s adoptive father and gatekeeper of the Persian Court), and Haman (the King’s right hand).  The story revolves around how Esther saved her people, the Jews, from the vengeful and cruel Haman.  Ms Chuk encouraged us all to reflect on these characters.  Did Haman’s hatred ultimately turn against him?  Can we resemble Mordecai by standing firm and doing good without seeking a reward?  Can we learn from Esther to fulfill our roles constructively and positively influence others?  Ms Chuk urged students to refer to the Boo

Sharing by Ms Tse Shuk Chun on Gratitude

It was a wonderful surprise when our recently retired and respected teacher, Ms Tse Shuk Chun, returned to Ying Wa to share on the theme of gratitude on November 5, 2025.  She began with a verse from Psalm 23 to inspire students to reflect.  Ms Tse then recalled her many meaningful experiences at Ying Wa, for which she felt deeply thankful.  These included her roles as class teacher, subject teacher, advisor of the Christian Fellowship, and advisor of the Interact Club.  She encouraged us to live out the Ying Wa spirit of Yes We Go and Serve!  To wrap up the assembly, Ms Tse encouraged everyone to put gratitude into practice by keeping a diary to jot down daily blessings, praying with thankfulness, and taking action to show appreciation.
