Art Exhibition 2024
The Visual Arts Departments of our school and Ying Wa College proudly presented an art exhibition themed “Velmi Pražský” from October 1-6, at the Diana Cheung Experimental Gallery, 3/F, Hong Kong Arts Centre. We were honoured to welcome distinguished guests at the opening ceremony, including Ms. Aneta Písaříková (representative from the Consulate of the Czech Republic in Hong Kong), Dr. Stella Tang Ying Chi (artist and curator), Ms. Shan Luk (art consultant), Mr. Kwan Hon Cheung Francis (Principal of Ying Wa Girls’ School), Mr. Dion Chen (Principal of Ying Wa College) and parents.

港深學校創科薈萃2024
由香港直接資助學校議會及香港補助學校議會主辦的「慶祝中華人民共和國成立75周年暨心繫家國之港深學校創科薈萃2024」(簡稱港深學校創科薈萃2024)於10月4日至6日在灣仔海濱花園盛大舉行。此活動得到教育局、民政及青年事務局及數字政策辦公室等政府部門的協辦及支持,吸引了近百所來自香港及深圳的中小學參加。
在此次盛會中,本校的STEM校隊派出隊員展示其獲獎的創科作品及STEAM教育成果,並藉此機會與其他港深學校進行交流與互動,共同推動創新科技的發展。

White Coat Ceremony of HKU and CUHK
The White Coat Ceremony, a significant rite of passage for newly admitted medical students, serves as a ceremonial welcome into the medical profession. This year, the University of Hong Kong (HKU) held its ceremony on September 28, while The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) celebrated theirs on September 21. During these ceremonies, students donned their white coats for the first time, symbolising their commitment to the values of the medical profession, including compassion, integrity, and professionalism.

National Flag Hoisting Ceremony (Sept 2024)
To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the People's Republic of China, a national flag hoisting ceremony was held on September 25. The theme of the ceremony focused on examining China’s recent developments and prospects. Notable achievements included the outstanding results of the National Team of China and the HKSAR China Team at the Summer Olympics 2024 held in Paris. The internationalization of the Renminbi and advancements in the car manufacturing industry, particularly in the production of electric vehicles, were also emphasized during the presentations. The ceremony provided a meaningful opportunity for students to deepen their understanding of and connection with their motherland, fostering a sense of national pride.

Concert of Music Tour
The Music Department organised a concert in the school’s auditorium on September 21 to share with parents the various repertoire performed and experiences gained during the Music Tour, which was held in Tokyo, Japan, during the summer holidays. The concert featured choral, dance, and instrumental performances showcased throughout the tour. Between performances, students shared highlights of the tour and reflected on what they had learned during rehearsals, competitions, and exchanges with the local school.

Education Sunday 2024
On September 15, Hop Yat Church hosted a meaningful Education Sunday service, bringing together teachers, students, and members of our neighbourhood to celebrate the new academic year. The sermon was given by Rev. Ng Chun Chi (吳振智牧師), who emphasized the importance of education in nurturing the minds and hearts of our youth. His message resonated deeply, especially as we welcomed new teachers into our community, reinforcing our collective commitment to fostering a nurturing and supportive learning environment. Our school choir dedicated the song 'Arise, My Soul, Arise' during the service.

S3 Adventure Day 2024
An exciting S3 Adventure Day was held for the entire form on September 13. This event featured a range of team-building activities aimed at fostering class bonding and enhancing physical fitness through gentle exercises. Students thoroughly relished the experience, actively engaging with great enthusiasm in all the activities. This Adventure Day was not only a fun-filled occasion but also a valuable opportunity for personal development and the enhancement of teamwork skills.

Student Association and Inter-house Elections 2024-2025
Vibrancy was once again instilled into the school campus with the highly anticipated Student Association (SA) and Inter-house Committee Elections. Echoing with the school’s emphases on Yes We Go & Serve and Yes We Go & Shine, 19 passionate students formed the SA cabinet Meronica with the slogan of “Laud your Merits”. Another 10 devoted students formed the Inter-house Committee cabinet Aliferous with the slogan of “Unfurl your wings, Unleash your passion”. It has been years that there were competitions in the SA and Inter-house Committee elections. Embracing courage, independent candidates ran for the Sports Committee of the SA and Silcocks House of the Inter-house Committee this year. The latter named their cabinet Clavis, hoping
