National Flag Hoisting Ceremony (Sept 2022)
The National Flag Hoisting Ceremony was held on September 28, 2022 to celebrate the 73rd anniversary of the People’s Republic of China. Thanks to the Civic Education Committee, the spirits of President Xi’s important speech celebrating the 25th anniversary of the HKSAR’s return to the motherland were selected as the theme so that students could embrace a strong sense of national identity. The “four proposals” in President Xi’s speech, namely further improving the governance of the HKSAR, continuing to create strong impetus for growth, earnestly addressing people’s concerns and difficulties in daily life, and working together to safeguard harmony and stability, were highlighted. Students got to understand the importance of embracing positive attitudes in life, uniting our society with concerted efforts to build a harmonious, inclusive and diversified community; and respecting and safeguarding the country’s fundamental systems.
