White Coat Ceremony of HKU and CUHK
The White Coat Ceremony, a significant rite of passage for newly admitted medical students, serves as a ceremonial welcome into the medical profession. This year, the University of Hong Kong (HKU) held its ceremony on September 28, while The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) celebrated theirs on September 21. During these ceremonies, students donned their white coats for the first time, symbolising their commitment to the values of the medical profession, including compassion, integrity, and professionalism.
YW teachers attended the ceremonies to witness the growth students who have entered the study of medicine. This meaningful occasion not only marks the beginning of their academic pursuits but also instils a sense of responsibility and dedication to serving the community and improving the health of individuals throughout their careers.
