S1 & S2 CES Workshops (2025-26)
The Citizenship, Economics and Society (CES) Department held workshops for S1 and S2 students to reinforce their learning during the 2025-26 school year.
S1: Eldpathy (Empathy for Elderly) Workshop
Eldpathy, a social enterprise specializing in elderly simulation programs, was invited to conduct an interactive workshop in the second term. Some students volunteered to wear age simulation suits to experience the physical limitations of an 80-year-old while engaging in simple tasks, such as picking up mahjong tiles, styling hair, ordering dim sum, reading medical appointment forms, and searching for items. Through these games, video screenings, and sharing sessions, students were encouraged to embrace essential values – such as care, empathy, filial piety, respect, and responsibility – while integrating their CES classroom learning into real-world interactions. They were also empowered to reflect on how even small acts can “shine a light” on others.
S2: Personality Traits Workshop
Our social workers, alongside colleagues from the Hong Kong Family Welfare Society (HKFWS), held the personality traits workshop (24種品格優勢工作坊) in the first term. By completing a preliminary questionnaire, students became aware of their most prominent and hidden personality traits, which can help them overcome daily stress, manage anxiety, and adapt to challenges. Our goal was to encourage students to lead a healthy lifestyle while applying generic skills acquired in school. We hope to instill the values of appreciation, self-respect, and self-reflection at an early age.
