Outstanding Student Leader Election
Lam Hiu Man (5E) was awarded the Secondary School Student Leader in the Outstanding Student Leader Election 2012-2013 organized by Hok Yau Club Potential Development Centre. Hiu Man had gone through 4 rounds of interviews and a 6-month training programme among 350 candidates from local secondary schools.

Mathematics Competition
On 10 May 2013, the S3 Mathematics Competition was held in the Hall. It was organized by the Mathematics Department and co-organized by the SAC, with the aim of enhancing students' interests towards Mathematics and letting our students explore different fields of the subject. The students were fully engaged in it and they had much fun of Mathematics in Action.
Computer Competitions
21 students participated in Australian Informatics Competition 2013 administered by Hong Kong Polytechnic University held on 9 May 2013.

10 students participated in Canadian Computing Competition Hong Kong Contest 2013 organized by the University of Hong Kong held on 27 Feb 2013 and have achieved pleasing results.

Sports Day
The Annual Sports Day was held on the 19 April and 2 May. The atmosphere was exciting with the cheering teams shouting out loud to boost the morale of their house members. Competitors in various events showed their excellence. It was an exciting day for the students of Ying Wa. Students from secondary six came back after the HKDSE examination and joined the Graduation Cup. Their returning trip was filled with laughter and good memories.
Redevelopment Prayer Meeting
Alumnae, teachers and parents gathered in the Hall on 27 April 2013 to pray for the School Redevelopment Project.
Ying Wa Good Show
On April 25 our school’s Dance Team was invited to perform at the Ying Wa Good Show, a lunchtime programme to enrich school life and showcase students’ talents organized by the Self Access Centre. The purpose of our event was to present part of our repertoire and promote different dance styles and techniques for our school mates to enjoy.
Debate Competition
The Senior Form Debate Competition co-organized by Chinese Language Department, Liberal Studies Department and Civic Education Committee, entered to the final round on 17 April 2013. Representatives from 4C and 5B were competing for the champion title with the motion ‘Marrying a rich man is equivalent to a happy marriage’. The said debating competition is with the aim of raising the awareness of social issues among students.
