National Olympiad in Informatics in Provinces 2025
Our students have once again done us proud. Cheung Suet Nam (5C) was awarded Second Class Award while Leung Hilary (4E) received Third Class Award in the National Olympiad in Informatics in Provinces (Hong Kong) 2025.

Hong Kong Secondary Schools Software Development Invitational Contest 2025
Three students from the YW Computer Programming Team were awarded medals at the Hong Kong Secondary Schools Software Development Invitational Contest (SDIC) 2025.
In the Senior Group, Cheung Suet Nam (5C) won a Silver Medal. Man Cho Yan (6C) and Leung Hilary (4E) were awarded the Bronze Medal.

Hong Kong Olympiad in Informatics 2025/26
Our girls made us proud at the joint prize-giving ceremony of Hong Kong Olympiad in Informatics 2025/26 for their outstanding performances.
In the Junior Group, Leung Hilary (4E) won a Silver Medal for Ying Wa with her excellent performance while Li Tsz Tung (3E) received an Honourable Mention. In the Senior Group, Cheung Suet Name (5C) and Man Cho Yan (6C) were awarded a Bronze Medal while Chau Tsz Ying (5D) received Honourable Mention.
They are invited to join the Hong Kong Olympiad in Informatics Training Team for intensive training. A Team Formation Test is to be held in May to select delegates for up-coming contests held outside Hong Kong.

Hong Kong Girls’ Olympiad in Informatics 2025/26
In the Hong Kong Girls’ Olympiad in Informatics 2025/26, Ying Wa was the top-performing school and was awarded the Grand School Prize Champion for second consecutive year with 3
Gold Medals and 2 Silver Medals and 1 Bronze Medal.
Leung Hilary (4E), Man Cho Yan (6C) and Law Yi Sheung (6E) won Gold Medal for Ying Wa with their excellent performances, while Cheung Suet Nam (5C) and Chan Yi Ching (4D) were awarded the Silver Medal. Chan Hoi Yan (5C) received the Bronze Medal. Leung Hilary (4E) was also honoured as the Best Young Contestant.

Animal Photopoetry Creative Challenge 2026
Jointly organised by the Visual Arts Department and the English Department, ten S2 to S5 students participated in the Animal Photopoetry Creative Challenge at Ocean Park on 6 February. In this cross-curricular competition, students stepped out of the classroom and engaged with the natural world. By blending their literary skills in writing poetry with their photography skills, the students sought to promote three values: Perseverance, Filial Piety, and Diligence.
THS Visit to The Park Lane Hong Kong
Sixteen S4 Tourism and Hospitality Studies (THS) students visited The Park Lane Hong Kong, Autograph Collection on 2 February, 2026. The group toured the hotel’s facilities to gain a practical understanding of hotel operations and professional service standards.
The experience concluded with an insightful session led by the Sales and Marketing Team, who shared their expertise on brand positioning and industry trends. By interacting with industry professionals, students developed a clearer vision of their career aspirations and the diverse opportunities available in the global hospitality landscape.
TechXplore – HKIA Integrated Tour
The Careers Committee and STEM Department organised a Hong Kong International Airport visit with St Stephen's Girls' School on 24 Jan 2026. The programme began with a briefing on the aviation industry and the Hong Kong International Aviation Academy, followed by an overview of careers in aviation. Participants attended a practical programme on ramp and passenger operations and learned about the application of smart technologies in airport operations. The visit concluded with a guided tour of the airside restricted area, offering direct insight into airport procedures and operational environments.

Visit to the LegCo
The History Department organised a visit for 21 S4 History students to the Legislative Council of Hong Kong in Admiralty on 22 January 2026. The students were offered a guided tour by the LegCo, which included a visit to the chamber. Additionally, they participated in a simulation game designed to enhance their understanding of the legislative process. It was a rewarding experience for all involved.
