End of Term Service 2016
The school term drew to a close on 11 July with two sessions of the End of Term Service for junior and senior forms. In the Principal’s Address, Mr Francis Kwan urged students to include acts of courage, commitment and collaboration to make their lives more meaningful and enriching. On behalf of the Secondary Six students, Wong Hin Lam (6B) and Ko Tina Lok Sun (6B) reminded their school mates, in their respective session, to distinguish themselves as Ying Wa girls by seizing opportunities to serve and not to be served. Many students were recognized for their achievements in academic and extracurricular activities throughout this year. The long list of prizes and awards amazed everyone, and the two services ended on a high note. Congratulations to one and all!

STEM in MBOT 2016 Robotics Competition
Eager to prove that girls can excel at coding too, four of our S2 students joined the "STEM in MBOT 2016 Robotics Competition (全港STEM機械車創意解難大賽2016)" on 3rd July 2016 and won the gold medal. The team assembled a robot, mbot, and successfully programmed it to do different tasks, thus putting into practice the skills they have acquired at school. Not only did they enjoy the collaboration and exposure, but they also got an opportunity to demonstrate their logical thinking and problem solving skills through the competition.

Our Visual Arts Students went on an excursion to Lei Yue Mun with Ying Wa College. They enjoyed quick sketching and taking beautiful photographs outdoors. The students followed an experienced guide to the lighthouse at Sam Ka Tsuen, the Wishing Tree and Jockey Club Lei Yue Mun Plus. The tour offered a precious chance for them to enhance their knowledge of the local culture and heritage.
