Sponsored Walk 2015 - Part I
The annual Sponsored Walk was held on 14 November 2015 (Saturday). The event kicked off with the whole school's synchronised clapping and each class’s cheering with their special slogan. The breezy weather was perfect for a walk up to the Peak and all schoolmates enjoyed the quality time, exercising with their classmates and teachers – and for a good cause too. A total of $309,588.50 was raised. Beneficiaries include charities in aid of refugees, and our School Redevelopment Project.

Our Esther Yewpick Lee Millennium Scholar
Congratulations to our alumna, Ma Ming Yan! We are thrilled to hear that Carissa has won the 2015 scholarship. A graduate of our Toastmasters Leadership Programme, former debater on our school team and performer in our 110th anniversary musical, "Alice", she was in the pioneer cohort that took the HKDSE, before going on to complete a B.A. degree at CUHK. We wish her all the best in her future endeavours.

Lee Hysan Foundation Scholarship 2016
Chui Cheuk Lam (2E) won the 5-year Lee Hysan Scholarship in late October 2015. This will fund her studies at the prestigious Geelong Grammar School in Victoria, Australia, through Year 8 to 12. Apart from covering all expenses on education, boarding and transport (4 return flights to HK per year), this dream scholarship will offer Cheuk Lam guardian care during school breaks and countless other opportunities for exposure. In Year 9, she will gain the unique experience of staying at the Timbertop Campus of Geelong, where physical challenges and outdoor activities will toughen her spirit and mind.
A Visit of CHIJ Students
Four girls from CHIJ Secondary (Toa Payoh) of Singapore spent five days at our school from November 2 to 6, 2015. They were assigned to different S.3 classes in which they joined lessons and activities with the class. Several girls from each class volunteered as buddies to take care of their Singaporean guests. Not only did the CHIJ girls enjoy the lessons and local delicacies of Sham Shui Po, but they also could not forget the warm hospitality of Ying Wa girls. Though their stay was short, it was a valuable exchange programme that every one enjoyed.
