校長心語 – 赤子心‧赤足行
2014年11月22日,風和日麗,天朗氣清,我們眾人懷著興奮與感恩的心情,早上齊集在聖士提反女子中學的禮堂,舉行了溫馨感人的開步禮後,便昂首並肩,沿路登上太平山。 今年,我們在感恩節步行籌款中,加入了「重建路.赤足行」的環節。誠如我曾分享過,這個經歷對於我及很多師生來說是零的突破,也是在英華的歷史中的第一 次。
到達盧吉道的涼亭,各參加赤足行的師生便脫去鞋襪,赤腳前行。第一個感覺 是地面很清涼,頗舒服。然後再謹慎的走幾步,用點時間去適應赤足而行的感覺。赤足走在柏油路上,始感受到原來路面的順滑及凹凸程度有所不同,這是我們平常穿著 鞋子走路所不能體會到的。

Thanksgiving Service
Two Thanksgiving Services were held on 21 November 2014, one for junior forms, one for senior. Mr. Jerry Wong, Chairman and General Executive (Voluntary) of the Happy Tree Social Services came and shared with all students the service work in Cambodia. Students learned to be caring persons by remembering and helping the needy.
Talk by Ms Mabel Cheung
Ms Mabel Cheung 張婉婷, our alumna and one of the leading film directors in Hong Kong, came to our school on 11 November 2014 and shared about the special project she is leading - Video Documentary on the Transformation of Ying Wa Girls through the Redevelopment Period. The project tracks the development of a select number of students who entered Ying Wa during her last year in the original campus on Robinson Road. The plan is to track their development and life transformation as they progress through their adolescence years.
Mrs So Private Kitchen
A fund-raising activity sponsored by Mrs So and family was held to support the School Redevelopment Project. More…

家長教師會第二十一屆執行委員會已順利成立,十二位參選家長均自動當選。家長教師會亦於二零一四年十一月一日﹙星期六﹚下午二時半至五時正,在英華女學校禮堂舉行第二十一屆周年大會。

Zhongshan Tour
A two-day study tour (25-26/10/2014) for 30 S2-S3 students with the aim to explore the revolutionary activities of Dr. Sun Yat-sen and other revolutionaries in Zhongshan and Zhuhai was organized by the Civic Education Committee, History and Chinese History Departments. With the honour of Dr Joseph Ting to lead the tour, both students and teachers were able to have a more in depth analysis over the role of compradors and overseas Chinese students in leading the revolutionary activities and contributing to the success of the 1911 Revolution.
