Our Vice-Principal, Ms Chow Siu Fung, recently shared an inspiring message with the school about the power of solidarity. Drawing upon experiences of students from the S3 Adventure Day, she vividly illustrated to us how teamwork and peer support can help individuals overcome their fears and insecurities.

3D Model Design Competition - Champion
Four S5 students achieved outstanding results in the “Second 3D Model Design Competition”, themed "Hong Kong Culture (香港文化)". Their 3D model, titled "Four Warriors of the Walled City (城寨四少)", earned them the Champion Award and the Best Presentation Award.

Hong Kong Laureate Forum – School Dialogues Inspiring the Young Future
Ying Wa Girls' School hosted the School Dialogues with Shaw Laureates as part of the Hong Kong Laureate Forum from 5 to 8 November 2025. This event gave our students and pupils from other schools the chance to take part in inspiring conversations with distinguished Shaw Laureates.

Sharing by Ms Tse Shuk Chun on Gratitude
It was a wonderful surprise when our recently retired and respected teacher, Ms Tse Shuk Chun, returned to Ying Wa to share on the theme of gratitude on November 5, 2025. She began with a verse from Psalm 23 to inspire students to reflect. Ms Tse then recalled her many meaningful experiences at Ying Wa, for which she felt deeply thankful. These included her roles as class teacher, subject teacher, advisor of the Christian Fellowship, and advisor of the Interact Club. She encouraged us to live out the Ying Wa spirit of Yes We Go and Serve! To wrap up the assembly, Ms Tse encouraged everyone to put gratitude into practice by keeping a diary to jot down daily blessings, praying with thankfulness, and taking action to show appreciation.

Vocal Masterclass by Ms Viola Cheung
The Music Department organized the Vocal Masterclass on 3 November, inviting the renowned soprano, Ms Viola Cheung Wing-Lam (張穎琳), who is also an alumna of our school, to coach our singers. Selected student singers gave promising solo performances and students who attended the masterclass have learnt a lot from the professional and inspiring coaching of Ms Cheung.

Prizes at 10th World Harmonica Festival
Li Chiu Wing Jeannie (2E) was awarded 1st runner-up and 4th place in the categories of Adult Duo and Youth Solo (under 16) respectively at the 10th World Harmonica Festival, a prestigious harmonica competition held in Trossingen, Germany.

Annual General Meeting of the Parent-Teacher Association
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) was successfully held on October 25, 2025. Ms Chan Po Chu, Chairperson of the PTA, warmly welcomed all parents and teachers and shared highlights from the past school year. These included the Parents’ Academy, a farewell lunch for S6 students, Students’ Day game stalls, and a variety of parent volunteer activities.

6A Lo Sze Wai was selected as one of the few shortlisted students to participate in the ‘Innovating for Tomorrow: A Conversation with The Shaw Laureates 2025’ on October 23, 2025.
This wonderful event, presented by the Shaw Prize Foundation and organised by SCMP Learn, offers a precious opportunity for Hong Kong's secondary school students to engage in a direct and inspiring conversation with world-renowned scholars.
