Cantonese Public Speaking Contest

The Cantonese Public Speaking Contest, organized by the Civic Education Committee, was held on May 20.  With great anticipation, three finalists demonstrated their eloquence and rationality by sharing topics of their own choosing and important values.

Zhang Peiyao (3D) highlighted the importance of embracing one’s imperfections as a vital stage of growing up, encouraging everyone to have the courage to try new things and step beyond their comfort zone.  Ho Wing Yan (3B) spoke on the courage to be disliked.  She emphasized that, without being selfish, we should remain true to our principles and not be afraid to express our genuine feelings.  Last but not least, Yip Ka Kiu (3A) shared her valuable experiences in voluntary work, illustrating how seemingly small acts of kindness can make a profound difference in the lives of others.

In the end, Ho Wing Yan (3B) was honored with the Best Speaker Award.
