Christmas Service and Variety Show 2023

In the Christmas Service and Variety Show held on December 22, we were honoured to have Ms Tong Wai Yee (湯蕙儀) as our guest speaker for the Christmas Service.  Ms Tong is an alumna of YW and currently serves as a minister at the Hong Kong Kau Yan Church.  She shared her personal journey as a YW girl, reflecting on the challenges she faced during her time at the school.  She also spoke about her career development as a kindergarten teacher and her current role as a minister, having studied theology.

During her address, Ms Tong emphasised that we are all under the caring guidance of Jesus Christ, even when we may not always be aware of it.  She highlighted the significance of Jesus' love as our saviour and shared powerful insights from her own experiences and faith.  Ms Tong encouraged everyone to place their trust in the Lord and to turn their fears into faith.

As the service concluded, we were uplifted by the beautiful performances of the choir members from YWGS and Ying Wa College (YWC).  They shared with us a selection of uplifting Christmas hymns.  The representative from the Christian Fellowship also played an important role in leading the readings of the scriptures, further enriching the spiritual atmosphere of the event.

Following the service, students enjoyed festive class parties and a highly entertaining Variety Show organised by the Student Association and the Inter-house Committee.  This joyful celebration marked the end of our first school term.
