Elderly demonstration workshop by Eldpathy for S1

The Citizenship, Economics and Society (CES) Department invited Eldpathy (Empathy for Elderly), a social enterprise specializing in elderly simulation programmes, to conduct an interactive demonstration workshop for the S1 in January and May 2025.  Some students were invited to put on age simulation suits to experience the physical limitations of an 80-year-old while engaging in simple games such as picking up mahjong tiles and tying up others’ hair.  Through interesting games, along with video watching and sharing, students were encouraged to embrace essential values – such as care, empathy, filial piety, respect and responsibility – integrating what they learn in CES lessons while interacting with the elderly.  They were also empowered to reflect on how even small acts could shine a light on others.
