Exchange Programme with South Korean Youths

The History Department of Ying Wa Girls’ School, together with the Extra-curricular Committee of Ying Wa College and the Youth Exchange Unit of The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups (HKFYG), joined hands together to organise an exchange programme with Korean students on 23rd February at the HKFYG Leadership Institute at Fanling.  The site of the HKFYG Leadership Institute is the former Fanling Magistracy, which was revitalised as a base for the HKFYG to train youth leaders of Hong Kong now.   In the exchange programme, selected students of both schools went on a guided tour to understand the roles played by the former Fanling Magistracy and Hong Kong heritage.  In the performance session, the Korean youths performed K-pop dances, sang and played Erhu whereas Wong Lok-yiu, a S2 Ying Wa girl, introduced and performed rope skipping.  The exchange programme was fruitful and memorable.
