Film Screening of The Way We Talk with Post-screening Sharing
The Visual Arts Department, Chinese Literature Department, and Parent-Teacher Association of our school collaboratively organized a screening of the film The Way We Talk, followed by a post-screening sharing session. The event brought together approximately 196 students, parents, and teachers, fostering a meaningful discussion and reflection.
The film not only explored the themes of inclusion, family love, and youth identity, but it also provided a profound insight into the diverse ways of communication within the deaf community. It offered a unique perspective on the challenges faced by the deaf world, inspiring participants to cultivate empathy and a deeper understanding of their experiences.
Following the screening, director Adam Wong (黃修平) and actor Marco Ng (吳祉昊) enriched the session by sharing their creative inspirations, behind-the-scenes experiences, and challenges encountered during the filmmaking process. Their heartfelt sharing left the audience inspired and more aware of the power of storytelling to bridge different worlds and perspectives.
