Photography Exhibition: The Melting Greenland Ice Sheet by Dr Wendy Lam

We were thrilled to present a photography exhibition featuring the stunning work of Dr Wendy Lam, an esteemed alumna renowned for her extraordinary contributions to the world of photography.   During the opening ceremony on May 26 at 1:30 PM, held outside the art room, Dr Lam shared her experiences capturing breathtaking images of Greenland and discussed the urgent issues of global warming and environmental protection.

Dr Lam has garnered thousands of prestigious international awards, including over 600 gold, 150 silver, and 100 bronze medals, along with more than 750 additional accolades in various international salon exhibitions.  Notably, she has received 67 Best Author Awards and 20 Federation Internationale De L’art Photographique (FIAP) Blue Badges.

In 2018, Dr Lam achieved remarkable recognition from the Photographic Society of America (PSA), earning the title of World Number 1 in the Photo Travel Division Digital category.  She also secured top rankings in several other divisions: World Number 2 in Projected Image Division (Colour), World Number 5 in Projected Image Division (Monochrome), World Number 6 in Photojournalism Division (Projected), and World Number 8 in Nature Division (Digital).   This prestigious acknowledgment marked her as the only individual in the world listed among the World Top 10 across five different categories that year.
