S2 STEAM Project Presentation Day: Design and Build Your Own Study Pod
The S2 Cross-Curricular STEAM Project Presentation Day was held on May 8. This collaborative initiative was jointly organized by the English, Mathematics, Computer, Art, and STEAM Departments at the beginning of the academic year. It challenged S2 students to design and build their own Study Pods.
In the past 6 months, students have dedicated themselves to this project. By identifying challenges in the current 4th-floor self-study area, they integrated their interdisciplinary knowledge to develop solutions focusing on size, space, comfort, environment, and technology. The whole process allowed them to effectively demonstrate their creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
During the presentation, the top group from each of the five S2 classes pitched their designs to our adjudicators. The selected groups worked exceptionally hard to prepare for this final pitch. All five groups delivered well-prepared, outstanding presentations, and their high level of dedication to this event is greatly appreciated.
After all groups finished their presentation, S5 senior Rainbow Chai shared her inspiring experience attending the HKU Nobel Week in Sweden, highlighting her devotion to STEAM. Her heartfelt sharing truly inspired the junior students, arousing their interest in STEAM.
