Last month, twenty students from S1 to S5 embarked on an exciting 9-day-8-night (from July 21 to 29) STEM Germany–Dubai Study Tour.  The tour offered a diverse range of activities, including hands-on experiences in Science, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Smart Cities, sustainable city planning, and opportunities to explore the rich culture and history of both Germany and Dubai.

In Munich, students visited the renowned Deutsches Museum, one of the world's largest science and technology museums.   They explored fascinating exhibitions on Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Aircraft Development, Robotics, and Space Exploration.

At BMW Welt, students attended an AI and Robotics Workshop, where they learned coding and using LEGO to simulate BMW's AI-driven automated factory processes.   They also explored the history of BMW’s car development, gaining insights into the evolution of automobile technology and design.

The students participated in a VR local tour, wearing VR goggles to experience a fully immersive city tour of historic Munich.   This innovative activity brought the city’s history to life in a unique and engaging way.

The group also explored iconic landmarks, including the Allianz Arena (home of FC Bayern Munich) and the fairy-tale-like Neuschwanstein Castle, gaining insights into Germany’s rich culture and history.

The tour also brought students to Dubai, where they discovered the city’s advancements in sustainability and futuristic technologies. They visited the Expo 2020 Museum, showcasing innovations in sustainable development, and the Museum of the Future, where they explored exhibits on robotics, artificial intelligence, and space exploration.

This study tour was truly an enriching experience and a memorable journey for YW girls.
