Talk by Dr Emily Wong
We are thrilled to welcome our alumna, Dr Wong Emily Suhan (黃蘇晗), to deliver a talk with the theme of our 125th Anniversary: “United in Faith, A Future Unleashed” on November 27. Initially uncertain whether to pursue business, law, or medicine, Dr Wong ultimately chose medicine, believing that helping others aligned best with her character. She emphasized to the audience that one opportunity used wisely could change our life. During her time at medical school, Emily took advantage of a programme with the World Health Organization (WHO), where she discovered her passion for ophthalmology. Today, she serves as a Consultant Ophthalmologist at the Chinese University of Hong Kong Medical Centre and has also dedicated her efforts to the Orbis Flying Eye Hospital, providing care to those in need. In closing, she encouraged the audience to push their limits, reminding them that, in her experience, “it always seems impossible until it is done.”
