Talk by Ms Li King Hei Lois

It was our pleasure to have invited alumna Ms Li King Hei Lois (李璟希) to share how she pursued her dream as a fashion designer.  Not having a particularly smooth academic path as wanted, Lois finally followed her heart and went to the School of Fashion and Textiles at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.  Lois told students that everyone could be his / her own designer.  We should face adversities and uncertainties with confidence and perseverance.  What’s more, Seneca’s quotation of “we suffer more in imagination than in reality” has been empowering her to challenge and prove herself.  In addition to being a designer, Lois has been engaged in several marathons and will further challenge herself by joining the Translantau Race in November 2024.  Lois concluded her sharing by encouraging students to read widely and she highly recommended two books which were Shion Kabasawa’s The Power of Output:How to Change Learning to Outcome and James Clear’s Atomic Habits:An Easy & Proven Way to Build Good Habits & Break Bad Ones
