Talk by New Principal - My Days in YW

During the morning assembly on September 17, our new Principal, Ms Chuk Wai Kan Tiffany, bonded with students and teachers by fondly recalling her days at Ying Wa (YW).  Her father knew right away that YW was the right choice for her, as he was impressed by the students’ warm and elegant manner during his visit to the school.  Upon entering S1, Ms Chuk vividly remembered how the former Principal, Mrs Lee, emphasized the importance of the school song and school hymn, which touched her deeply whenever those songs were sung.  Her school days were filled with joy, from singing and dancing to building lasting friendships.

More importantly, the lessons conveyed by her teachers throughout her journey at YW left a lasting impact.  Here are 3 of them:

•        “After I use the bathroom, it is ALWAYS cleaner than when I first went in.”
•        “Ying Wa girls should NEVER eat fish balls on a skewer on the street in the school uniform.”
•        “Let tears flow.”

These reminders might sound a bit light-hearted to some, but the underlying messages are extremely thought-provoking.  All YW girls are nurtured to be fine ladies who are considerate, empathetic, and caring.  Above all, Ms Chuk offered heartfelt reassurance:  YW and God will always be here for us.
