Talk on Treasuring Life

During the afternoon assembly on Feb 28, the Guidance Committee had the pleasure of inviting Ms Choi Lok Sze Sharon (蔡樂詩) to share her life stories and the challenges she has faced due to her visual impairment.  As an alumna of Ying Wa, Sharon began her story by reflecting on her childhood and the learning difficulties she encountered in kindergarten and primary school. Despite the many obstacles she faced, she persevered with unwavering confidence and a smile on her face.

Sharon attended Ebenezer School, where she honed essential skills, including reading Braille, before continuing her secondary education at Ying Wa in S2.  A pivotal moment in her journey occurred in S4 when her seeing-eye dog, Bene, joined her at school, providing companionship and support in her lessons.

Sharon radiates confidence and possesses a strong belief in herself.  Her heartfelt sharing encouraged students to adopt a more positive outlook on life and to embrace their own challenges with resilience.
