Visit to the "Lost and Found in Hong Kong" Exhibition
On October 23, a group of 28 S4 History students, organized by the History Department, visited the "Lost and Found in Hong Kong (唐樓中的二戰日記)" exhibition at HKUST, hosted by the Asia Society Hong Kong Centre. The exhibition commemorates the 80th Anniversary of the end of World War II in Europe, focusing on the unsung Chinese heroes of the Normandy landings. Students engaged with the docent, Ms Teresa Mak, learning about the contributions of Chinese naval officials during the Normandy landings and how they were trained alongside the Allied Powers during WWII. This experience deepened students' understanding of history and encouraged critical thinking about diverse perspectives in historical narratives.
