Visit to the M+ Museum
28 Visual Arts students from S4 to S6 visited the M+ Museum on October 26. They had a chance to appreciate the exhibition of “M+ Sigg Collection from Revolution to Globalisation”, which provided a captivating overview of four decades of contemporary Chinese art. The exhibition showcased how artists challenged traditional practices while engaging in international conversations about art.
During the visit, students took part in a thematic tour called “Seeing the Unseen Through Highlights of the M+ Collections.” They got to closely examine various artworks, gaining valuable insights into how social contexts and personal experiences could influence the interpretations of visual culture. This experience helped students understand how their own personal values could be shaped and influenced by visual culture, fostering a deeper understanding of the connections between visual culture and their everyday life.
