Champion of the Innovation & Technology Award - My Interfaces with the Belt and Road Initiative
3 S5 History students (Lau Sum (5A), Wong Cheuk Ki (5B) and Leung Wing Ki (5E)) won the champion of the Innovation and Technology Award in the 2021 “My Interfaces with the Belt and Road Initiative” Integrated Abilities Competition (Inter-school Senior Secondary Students Division) organized by the Federation of New Territories Youth. A total of 29 secondary schools from Hong Kong took part in the competition. Students had to attend a total of three seminars with guest speakers from different tertiary institutions. Prizes of the Road Safety Poster Design Competition 2020-2021
A number of students took part in the Road Safety Poster Design Competition 2020-2021 organised by the Central and Western District Road Safety Campaign Committee of the Central District and Western District Police Force. Awards of Hong Kong Physics Olympiad 2020
Hong Kong Physics Olympiad 2020 was co-organized in November 2020 by the Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education, the Education Bureau and the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology. An online ceremony was held in March 18, 2021. Luo Elysia Songen (5C) and Mak Cheuk Yin (5E) were awarded the Honourable Mention and Third Honour respectively. The prizes recognized their conscientiousness and diligent hard work in studying higher level Physics.

Awards of Our Ambassadors “Mommy Light” and “Daddy Light” Celebrating the Lunar New Year － Auspicious Messages / Chinese Costume Design Competition
5 students from S4 to S6 participated in the Our Ambassadors “Mommy Light” and “Daddy Light” Celebrating the Lunar New Year － Auspicious Messages / Chinese Costume Design Competition organized by the Education Bureau. Students and parents learned more about the Positive Parent Campaign through participating in the captioned activity which allowed students to unleash their creativity and welcome the Lunar New Year at the same time.

Awards of WhatsApp Sticker Design Competition
11 students from S3 to S6 participated in the WhatsApp Sticker Design Competition organized by Bank of China (Hong Kong). The competition aimed at celebrating the Lunar New Year with friends and relatives through sending festive messages with innovative WhatsApp stickers. Our girls were awarded with eleven merit prizes and the Second Runner-up for the Most Active Participation Prize in the secondary school section.

Mr. Yu Chu Lam Scholarship (2020)
The Yu Chu Lam Scholarship (庾柱林獎學金) was launched in Ying Wa in 2018 in order to encourage S6 students to strive for academic excellence in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination. Three S6 graduates (2019-2020), Cheng Tsz Ying (6E), Zhang Wan Hei (6D) and Choy Man Pok (6B), were awarded the scholarship in recognition of their efforts and outstanding results in the HKDSE Examination 2020. They are now pursuing their studies at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK).

Certificate of Merit – JS History e-Reading Award Scheme 2020
Organised jointly by the Education Bureau, The University of Hong Kong and The e-Learning Development Laboratory from March to May, the Junior Secondary History e-Reading Award Scheme 2020 was an e-reading program with a total of 103 secondary schools and over 2,200 students joining. 2nd Runner-up - Code2App Challenge 2020
Three S2 students formed a team to participate in a programming competition called Code2App Challenge 2020, which was co-organized by the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and the Hong Kong Education City. The competition aimed at raising one’s awareness of the importance of healthy living both physically and mentally. Our team created an app, WE fit, to save records and video clips of one’s physical exercise for personal tracking and evaluation.
