Awards of JS History e-Reading Award Scheme 2023

The Junior Secondary (JS) History e-Reading Award Scheme 2023, organized jointly by PSHE Section of CDI, EDB, and e-Learning Development Laboratory of HKU, took place from March to August 2023.  Over 100 schools and 22,000 students participated in promoting history interest through self-directed learning. Among the 28 YW girls, 8 excelled and received Certificates of Merit and Creativity Awards.  Notably, Cheung Suet Nam, Siu Hoi Yan, and Wong Hoi Ying Sophia were honoured with Creativity Awards and were invited by the EDB to share their learning experiences, challenges encountered, and strategies to overcome difficulties while designing and producing a 3-D model on the livelihood of Shek Kip Mei Estate.   During the award ceremony on November 14 at Loke Yew Hall, HKU, Dr Choi Yuk Lin, JP, Secretary for Education (蔡若蓮局長), graciously engaged with the awardees, sharing their achievements and encouraging their passion for history.  Our sincere appreciation to all the organizers for this impactful event, and special thanks to Dr Choi for her support.
