Talk on Healthy Body with Stretching Exercise

We were honoured to have Ms Kong Man Wing (江文穎), an alumna and a physical therapist, as a guest speaker.  She delivered a captivating talk on the significance of incorporating stretching exercises into our daily routine, particularly when leading busy lives.  She emphasized that stretching helps to improve flexibility, reduce muscle tension, and enhance blood circulation.  She further demonstrated a series of stretching exercises that could be easily performed, even when seated, making them accessible to students during their school hours.  Her insightful presentation left us with a newfound appreciation for the value of stretching in maintaining a healthy body and mind.

S2E Visit to the HKMMS

With the coordination of Ms Ng, the Chinese History teacher and class teacher of 2E, a visit to the Hong Kong Museum of Medical Sciences (HKMMS) was arranged, presenting a valuable learning opportunity for the students.  During the visit, students had the chance to explore the hygiene conditions of late 19th century Hong Kong and discover methods to enhance the well-being of the Chinese population in the city.  Through interactive exhibits and informative displays, students acquired a deeper comprehension of the vital role of public health initiatives and the influence of historical context on contemporary healthcare practices.

Silver Award in Music Competition

The Senior Choir achieved the Silver Award in the First Division - Senior Choir - Foreign Language - Girls - Secondary School Choir category at the competition organized by the Hong Kong Schools Music and Speech Association.  The event took place on February 26 at Tsuen Wan Town Hall.  We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Mr. Leung, our Music teacher, for his guidance and leadership during the competition.  The Senior Choir delivered captivating performances of "The Lord is My Shepherd" by Javier Busto and "Magos a rutafa" by Lajos Bárdos.  Their dedication and remarkable talent were truly commendable.

Parents' Day 2024

Our Parents' Day, an event designed to foster connections between parents and teachers while providing them with the opportunity to experience their daughters' school life, was successfully held on February 24.  During this event, parents had the chance to engage in meaningful discussions with their daughters' class teachers regarding their academic progress and overall development.  It also showcased students' achievements and facilitated valuable parent-teacher interactions.  The book fair encouraged reading habits while the Needlework Room displayed handmade accessories, knitted garments, and embroidered pieces.  The Art Room exhibited captivating artworks, reflecting the talent and hard work of our students.

Farewell Assembly 2024

On February 24, a farewell assembly was held for the graduating classes.  The S6 students moved us with their heartfelt expressions of gratitude towards their teachers, schoolmates, and all members of Ying Wa.  Our Principal, Mr Francis Kwan, shared his heartfelt well-wishes and valuable advice with the graduating classes.  Emphasizing his belief in their potential, he encouraged them by stating that he firmly believed that each and every student who graduated from the school has the ability to shine brightly one day.

Global Week 2024 (Album 2)

After a long hiatus, Global Week made its return to our school from 19 to 23 February, 2024.  The Global Exposure Committee and Inter Cultural Education (ICE) co-organized this event to bring a rich cultural atmosphere and energy into our campus.

ICE representatives from diverse countries and cultures visited S1-S3 classes, sharing on the topics of "Food Festivals," "Natural Disasters," and "Culture Shock."  The lessons were eye-opening and gave students a valuable opportunity to interact with guests directly from all over the world.

The fun did not stop there as school-wide trivia game designed by our Global Week Student Ambassadors put students’ knowledge of the world to the test and ignited their competitive spirit.

Awards of Dance Team 2023-2024

The participation of the Ying Wa Dance Team in the 60th Schools Dance Festival and Dance World Cup Asian Cup 2024 filled us with deep admiration.  Their performances left us captivated, showcasing their extraordinary artistry and talent.  The team received well-earned acclaim and recognition for their remarkable achievements.  Beyond the tangible rewards, this experience broadened their understanding of diverse cultures and fostered significant connections within the local artistic community.
