S6 Chinese Medicine Workshop during CSD lessons

In November 2024, we were delighted to welcome Hong Kong Jigucun Guocui Education Limited (校園集古村國粹教育有限公司) to share insights on skincare from the perspective of Chinese medicine.  The session included a hands-on workshop where students learned to create their own anti-epidemic Chinese herbal sachets.  During the presentation, students were enlightened on how acupuncture and traditional Chinese massage (推拿) contribute to effective skincare and overall health.  Following the informative session, the instructor guided students through the process of making their own herbal sachets, specifically designed to bolster immunity against epidemics.  This interactive experience not only allowed the entire class to engage actively but also sparked excitement as students had fun personalizing their sachets.  It was truly impressive to see quite a number of students request additional materials to create extra sachets for their friends and family.  Through this meaningful activity within the context of cultural security, we hope to instill the values of appreciation, aspiration, eagerness to try, national identity, and respect among all students.
