Your Say - Life Education Programme

“Your Say” is a whole-school Life Education Programme that is in its second year. The aims are to foster students’ concern for the society at large, to provide opportunities for students to express their views in a responsible and creative way, and to promote class spirit. Each class held discussions in October to choose a social issue of interest. Then students did research on the issue and displayed the materials collected to stimulate further thought. In November everyone in the class wrote her opinions on a specially designed comment sheet which was subsequently displayed on the noticeboard. The wide array of topics reflected the high degree of social awareness among our students regardless of age; issues range from the building of the third runway, IT in education to debates on euthanasia. The class displays were judged by teachers and prizes were awarded to the most outstanding class in each form.
