Cambridge Admission Talk
Dr Andrew Murray, Admissions Tutor for Sciences, Trinity Hall, University of Cambridge, gave an informative talk on studying at the university and the prestigious Prince Philip Scholarship. Rarely do we have the chance to listen to a scholar from a world-class university, and Dr Murray assured us admission to Cambridge is not an impossible dream. 5*5*5 for three DSE electives and passion for studies are basic.
Alumnae Ambassador Scheme
2015 is another watershed year, ushering in our celebration of the 115th anniversary, and our renewed efforts to reach the fundraising goal in line with the phases of construction of the new campus. To relaunch the Alumnae Ambassador Scheme, a Tea Reception in honour of the Ambassadors was held to brief the alumnae ambassadors the most up to date briefing on the progress of school redevelopment, fundraising, and 115th anniversary celebration.
Sports Day
The annual Sports Day was held on 15th September 2014 in the Wanchai Sports Ground, aiming to help students to be physically and mentally fit. It also helps to nurture students' sense of good sportsmanship. Due to the adverse weather, the Final Day was cancelled.
Inauguration of Prefects
More than students from Secondary 3 to Secondary 6 have been elected as prefects for the school year 2014-2015. The inauguration ceremony took place during the OLE lesson on 5 September 2014.
Opening Service
The new school term commenced on 1 September 2014. The Principal and Vice-principals delivered speeches and explained the school goal of the year - "Confidence with a Heart".
Celebration Activities
A series of celebration activities are being lined up for students and staff, parents and alumnae, as well as supporters and friends of the Ying Wa community to join in and be part of the joyful memories. These events will include: the Founder's Day Service and 115th Anniversary & Founder's Day Dinner on 28 March 2015. More from AA website.

Staff Development Day
Reverend LEE Ching Chee and Professor LO Wai Luen were invited to share with our staff during the Staff Development Day on 29 August 2014. The theme was “Be renewed in the spirit of your mind”. Teachers were encouraged to revisit their vision and passion in teaching.
