HKSS Debating Competition District Final (Champion)
The S5 Debate Team emerged as the champion of the Hong Kong & Kowloon District Division I Final on 28 June 2017 after winning five out of six rounds in the Hong Kong Secondary Schools Debating Competition (HKSSDC) this year. Debaters in the final match include Chan Ying Ying Leticia (5E), Chan Lok Yu Zoe (5A) and Yip Pui Lam Regina (5D). Debaters involved in previous rounds of the competition include Lai Cheuk Yi (5A), Wun Yuet Tung Natalie (5A), Cheng Tsz Ki (5B), Lau Tak Yi (5B), Chan Cheuk Yee (5C), Ho Cheuk Yee (5D), Lee Hiu Yui (5D) and Ng Ying Tung (5D).

Dance World Cup 2017 (Finals)
After getting outstanding results in the Dance World Cup Hong Kong Qualifying Match 2017 and Asian Cup 2017, Ying Wa Chinese Dance Team and Jazz Team were qualified to enter the World Finals 2017 in Offenburg, Germany. The World Finals 2017 is the greatest all-genre dance competition in the world for children and young people. A total of 19 dance team members and 2 teachers of Ying Wa arrived in Germany on 23 June (HKT) to take part in competitions, sightseeing and attending masterclasses.

Overall 1st Runner-up – Inter-school Volleyball Competition 2016-2017
With passion, hard work and team spirit, the Ying Wa Volleyball Team emerged as the overall first runner-up in the Inter-school Volleyball Competition 2016 – 2017. Players from all three grades showed dedication to the sport and trained hard to improve their game throughout the year.

Green Ambassador Pitch Speaking Contest 2017
A team of five S6 students won the Best Presentation Award at The Green Ambassador Pitch Speaking Contest 2017 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 7th June 2017. This event was organised by The Hong Kong Green Building Council Limited (HKGBC), a non-profit making organisation established in 2009 to promote the standards and developments of sustainable buildings in Hong Kong. 2017亞洲少年U18女子排球錦標賽
2017年3月5至13日，英華排球隊隊員中五戊班林禧婷及易穎芯，以香港女子少年排球隊（以下簡稱「港少隊」）隊員身分，參加在重慶市舉行的亞洲少年U18女子排球錦標賽。期間港少隊進行七場賽事，對手包括來自中國、泰國、紐西蘭、伊朗、澳洲、中華台北等地的隊伍。港少隊認真看待每一場比賽，全力以赴，排名第六，僅次於中、日、韓、泰、台五隊。兩位隊員通過參與活動，得到很高水平的實戰經驗，獲益良多。

To promote STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) education through extracurricular activities, our school fielded two teams in the Hong Kong Product Design Makeathon 2016-17, organized by The Department of Industrial and System Engineering of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. 第四十五屆全港公開舞蹈比賽
舞蹈隊參加第四十五屆全港公開舞蹈比賽，是次比賽以慶祝香港回歸祖國二十周年作為主題。隊員表現出色，獲得四個銀獎及兩個銅獎。是次參賽經驗寶貴，隊員的努力既得到肯定，亦可以跟其他隊伍切磋交流，有助擴闊眼界，提高水平。

Canadian Computing Olympiad 2017
The Canadian Computing Olympiad 2017 was held at the University of Waterloo from 8-12 May 2017. This week-long event involved workshops, a contest, and other extra-curricular activities. Chan Wai Chi (5C) had the honour of being the first female contestant to represent Hong Kong at this prestigious tournament in Canada and brought home the bronze medal.
